We are told to build rapport and empathize with them, but still keeping in mind the boundaries of a patient-nurse relationship. However, as Patch Adams said, transference and counter-transference are inevitable. As I spend more time with my patients, I get to know more about their personal lives and from just mere strangers, these patients become my friends. Even harder to deal with are patients will terminal diseases like cancer as these are the patients that I spend time with them for months even up to years. Intro to chinese culture Research Paper Example | Topics and Well Written Essays - 1500 words - 1
Intro to chinese culture - Research Paper Example Doug Guthrie informs that Chinese government has taken three key measures to drive forward the economic reforms in China. The first was bringing in gradual reforms driven by state government in order to make China a global economy. The Chinese government introduced both external and internal economic policies. The second was the decentralization of economic decision-making while the third was to allow private economic sector to emerge to a certain extent without authorizing rapid privatization and keeping state owned industries as such. The industries continued to remain in governmental control, but the introduction of private sector initiated competition between industries that was healthy for the economy wholly. These three measures will be discussed in detail in the following sections. The Chinese government brought reforms on global level as well as on domestic level in order to strengthen China as a global economy. The economic reforms included creation of new institutions locally as well as internationally, creation of innovated industrial strategies, development of special economic zones to attract domestic and foreign investors to invest in China and adoption of trading, exporting and developmental strategies to represent China as an economy interested in investments from internal as well as external sector (Guthrie, 2009). Export-oriented coastal development strategy implemented by Zhao played a crucial role in creating China as a leading trading economy. With this reform policy, the coastal regions became more autonomous and provided solutions for two issues, which were ââ¬Å"employment of the surplus labor from the rural areas and improvement in industrial competitivenessâ⬠(Guthrie, 2009, p. 113) along with generating income for industrial firms. The main reason for applying multiple criteria is to identify more minority and economically disadvantaged students who are over looked when so elements of restrictive criteria for such things like the studentââ¬â¢s IQ or achievement scores are used. This under representation problem have for decadeââ¬â¢s plagued education. For example, in 1991, the state of Georgia defined the giftedness of a student according to a single score. With the help of Renzulliââ¬â¢s NRC/GT, eight Georgian schools explored the use of multiple criteria to obtain what they termed as a rich profile of students in terms of strength and interest. This criterion was also important in identifying the strength of minority students. Teachers can identify students quickly on the basis of observation and performance information of students from different cultural and economic background. Students who show traits, aptitudes and behaviors associated with giftedness can quickly be identified. Georgia legislatures passed a bill requiring multiple criteria be identified. This was in 1994 when the legislature was well convinced of the fairness of the multiple criteria, and the governor signed it into law. The law stated that the eligibility included meeting criteria in any three of the four areas which are the mental ability, achievement, creativity and motivation. The areas were defined as; intellectual ability above the 96th percentile, standardized achievement test score above the 90th percentile on the total battery n reading or in mathematics, creativity scores above the 90th percentile on the creativity test or creative characteristics rating scale, or superior evaluation of creative product or performance. This could take place in different areas in the exercise region and likewise, contra laterally (Pedersen, 1999). Though, it is claimant that the clinicians must delay the process of the joint position sense evaluation because of the fatigue state, unless the assessment of the proprioceptive effects of fatigue is deliberate, it shows that there were no report about the presumptive effects of exercise that are non-exhausting. Even so, extreme non-exhausting exercises, like the strengthening and muscle evaluation, are likely to produce the said metabolic results that keeps the possibility of acute effects on the micro trauma in the spindle muscles, spindles of the muscle and changed in the neurone excitability of the spinal neurone. The chance to evaluate the effects of the strength of the thigh muscle on the joint sense, most especially during sports activities, directs to the collaboration of research study with other groups who also wants to study the same subject. The joint position sense evaluation result on both knees was already published in by Stillman in 1998. Justification for Proprioceptive Treatments In 1996 Sports Medicine and Musculoskeletal Surgery, Joerosch & Prymka specified that: "In conservative therapy more focus should be put on exercising the proprioceptive capability. In surgical therapy we should identify procedures which not only restore the anatomy but also reconstruct the neurophysiological feedback mechanism. In preventive programmes, proprioceptive training should be included as well"(177). The similar observations were brought about by Safran and others, in 1994. In aid for the proceeding discussion, proprioceptive treatment pertain to any therapeutic operations that is assumed to rejuvenate, enhance or maintain proprioception. At present, however, it is still unknown if it yields. Moreover, surgeons have some grounds in the attempt of retaining much of the proprioceptively stimulated structures likely in the anterior cruciate ligament restoration and in the surgical replacement of the osteoarthritic joints ( Safran et al 1994, Insall et al 1981). Histological experimental studies in animals resulted in reconstituted mechanoreceptor in the reconstructed cruciate ligaments in the 6 to 12 months post operative ( Barrack et al 1997, Denti et al 1994, Tsujimoto et al 1993, Goertzen

In order to ensure a correct vertical angulation of the head during X-ray, various lines must lie parallel to the table top (Adler & Carlton, 2012). According to Rothbart Proprioceptive therapy the Median Sagittal line, which serves the role of a vertical line must lie parallel to the tabletop. The spinal segment prevents lateral displacement ensuring a steady posture during the X-ray process. Patients suffering from osteoporosis have painful experiences while sitting on the X-ray table. It is in this regard that positioning aids remain in use. To achieve an AP position, positioning aids such as radiolucent sponges and sandbags as well as mattress get applied (Adler & Carlton, 2012).
